Cardiff Metropolitan University has been integral to the city of Cardiff for over 150 years. To this day, Cardiff Met focuses on developing the employability skills of their students and providing a unique student experience.
As we know, the Student Union is a vital part of University life as it offers its students the opportunity to relax and spend time with friends and fellow students in a relaxed environment and the opportunity to attend a range of different organised events.
We’re pleased to reveal that as of Thursday 29th September, a Blue Monkey Vending machine can be found within Cardiff Metropolitan’s Student Union Zen Bar!
Cardiff Met is the first University in the UK to have a Blue Monkey Vending machine. Not only that, the machine that has been installed is one of only five Haribo machines that can be found across the UK, offering its students a truly unique experience.
Commenting on the recent announcement, Mark Lewis of Blue Monkey Vending said: “We’re really excited to be able to work alongside Cardiff Metropolitan University SU by offering our services to its students within Zen Bar of the Student Union. It brings us great pleasure to be able to offer the university the privilege of having one of a very small number of the Haribo machines on their campus.”
“The Haribo vending machine has been a massive hit at our Student Union with plenty of students already using the machine”. Said Daisie Mayes, Front of House Staff at Cardiff Met SU.
Student Union Chief Executive Mike Davies has said “We are thrilled to be able to offer our students this unique vending machine within our Llandaff operation and look forward to working with Blue Monkey Vending over the coming years.”
Following the success of the machine located at Cardiff Metropolitans’ Student Union, Blue Monkey Vending are currently developing plans for more machines to be located at other prestigious venues. These locations will be disclosed as soon as the machines are installed. Watch this space!
